From 08 February 2019, Queensland has closed state nomination for all business and skilled visas (submitted through SkillSelect)

According to the Official BSMQ (Business and Skilled Migration Queensland):

• No further invitations will be issued from this date.
• BSMQ will continue to process applications which have been already invited for state nomination prior to this date until their quota is exhausted.

This information is obviously shocking to people who are thinking of migrating to this state because Queensland doesn’t seem to be as competitive as Victoria or New South Wales.

However, DO NOT LOSE YOUR HOPE just yet!
